The children wrote special letters to Santa today. They will be putting them in their shoe on Sunday night in hope of a special visit and a candy cane treat!
The children are learning the true meaning of Christmas! We have a Shepherd in our room who is in search of Jesus' manger. Each day Sprinkle, our Shepherd, moves from place to place in our room. The children come in very excited each day to see where he is. He leaves us a wrapped book each day. We wait eagerly to hear our special story about Jesus We read Mortimer's Christmas Manger this week. Please ask you children why this story was so special.
Next week we will continue our science study of energy with a candy cane experiment. The children will also make connections to Jesus and the story of the candy cane.
Yesterday, a 12 Days of Christmas Calendar went home with your child. Each day there will be different themed activities. Tomorrow, December 9th, is Candy Cane Day. Please wear Red and White Accessories to celebrate.
