Building Faith & Minds for the Future
Est. 1914
My name is Janet Pirraglia and I am a fifth-grade teacher at St. Mary School. I instruct the fifth-grade students in English Language Arts, social studies, and religion. I have been teaching at St. Mary School for 20 years. My areas of certification are elementary education N-6 and special education grades K-12. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Dowling College and a Master of Science Degree from Adelphi University.
My years of service at St. Mary School have been full of many different experiences and accomplishments. I have received many grants to enhance the quality of education for the students at St. Mary School. The grants included field trips sponsored by Target, books, supplies, and chrome books awarded by Mestract and other businesses that have added to the wonder of learning. I am currently the Mock Trial moderator and our students have had success trying cases at St. John's University in Queens.
The many years I have shared with the faculty, staff, and students have been a blessing to me. I look forward to many more years of educating children in the Catholic faith as well as inspiring the children to love learning.
